Dawn Porter: Litigator to Filmmaker

Dawn Porter is an intentional storyteller. She fills in the gaps left out to ensure the entire story is permanently inked into the history books. As a former litigator, she is a master of using information to tell a story, and she brilliantly tells the story of Luther Vandross in her upcoming documentary, Luther: Never Too Much.

Did you know? Luther made a total of 14 appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, a testament to his popularity and influence.

Luther’s fanbase is not just large, it's enormous! His fans, who adore him and his phenomenal music, are eagerly awaiting this film. In Luther: Never Too Much, they will get an intimate look into his background and the lesser-known details that shaped his journey to becoming an icon.

Audiences will also deeply connect with Luther’s deep desire, love.  Dawn beautifully demonstrates Luther’s humanity and the challenges he faced, such as his weight and food addiction.  He used food as a coping mechanism, being an emotional eater.  This trait is relatable because everyone has their own way of coping.

Luther was a brilliant music arranger, composer, and singer who worked tirelessly to become a phenomenal performer.

Don’t miss the chance to see this film in theaters.

Starting November 1, 2024!
