Last Quarter Countdown: Make it Count

As we enter the last quarter with time on the clock winding down, take a minute to reflect on the previous quarter — but make sure you don’t park there. Life is one of the best teachers, and with it comes the fulfillment of goals along with moments where the goals you set weren’t accomplished during the time you had planned. In this reality comes disappointment and a feeling of defeat, but also an opportunity to return to the game and try again.

For those of you who thought about giving up because it’s near the end of the year, I would say, now is not the time to sit on the sidelines. You have work to complete and a purpose to fulfill. Get fired up and put on your uniform of determination, focus, faith, and strategy to make the countdown during this last quarter worthwhile. The referee is on the sidelines and the coach has been calling the plays as you the player work the plan and the strategy given to you. You received the idea or vision from God and it’s up to you to execute what you have been shown.

I know sometimes it’s easier to push things aside and move on to something else when it doesn’t manifest in the time or the way you thought, but don’t be so quick to sleep on your dreams or place them on the back burner. Some things take time and patience so don’t give up.

The last quarter countdown is a moment in time for this year. Don’t concern yourself with what you haven’t accomplished during the previous months — what you did accomplish is worthy of celebration. Reflect, learn, and move forward utilizing the time still given this year to reach those obtainable goals.
