All Things Warm and Earthy

Warm and cozy living room

Every time we hear the word ‘fall’ or ‘winter’, what comes to our mind? Dark nights, cold weather and bold colors. After years of difficult times, this fall season is ‘all about warm and earthy tones’ bringing a softer, calmer and more serene ambience back home. While the fall home decor trends in 2021 focused on rich and cool tones, interior experts have embraced the infamous ‘coastal grandmother style’ for 2022. It reminds you of a very relaxed white room, warm-toned fabrics, textured rugs, cane baskets and loads of natural light. Let's dive into the new trends that will follow this fall season.

 earthy and soft tones

Neutral hues, warm tones and fall colors remind us of Diane Keaton's chic lifestyle in Something’s Gotta Give. The designers in 2022 are turning to nature-inspired hues to fill the room with lights and a cosy atmosphere. The ‘coastal grandmother aesthetic’ inspires interiors, clothing and lifestyle which reflects a bright elevated approach to a home. Imagine light hues of cinnamon, sand, terracotta, camel, pumpkin, greens and other neutrals to complement your living room with a touch of calmness and earthy tones.

 woven elements

Woven materials have taken the world by storm in the last few years and is not fading away any time soon. Rattan furniture, cane baskets, woven pendant lights and natural fibre rugs are ‘orange is the new black' fall trend. Don’t be afraid and fill your room with crazy DIYs of rope-knotted bottles, bohemian woven wall hangings and nautical rope candle holder.

 natural wood

Dark wardrobes, teakwood coffee tables and wooden chopping boards are a great way to add a grounding effect to your living space. The natural wood element reflects a forest-like and fresh environment in the house. The desire for lighter trends, calmer aesthetics and timeless looks has been growing this season. A fall-worthy experience of natural surroundings, cosy neutral blankets, warm pillows will definitely bring an atmosphere of Danish ‘hygge’ charm in your home.

 curves

Talking about the trends in 2022, and not mentioning curves will be a sin. It’s been a curvy affair this season, finding curved sofas, rounded-edged coffee tables, arched doors and windows, curved kitchen tops and rounded ottomans. Curved furniture speaks of serenity, feminism and tranquillity in its decorative approach. This new addition of curves has eliminated the sharp and rigid pointed staple furniture. The market is brimming with statement pieces like twisted candle holders, curved vases, circular showpieces, soft-curved ottomans and circular orbs.
